...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 AM CDT EARLY THIS
MORNING FOR SOUTHERN PONTOTOC, ATOKA, NORTHERN BRYAN, SOUTHERN COAL,
JOHNSTON, NORTHEASTERN MARSHALL, EAST CENTRAL CARTER, SOUTHEASTERN
GARVIN AND MURRAY COUNTIES...

At 1208 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms had produced heavy rain across the warned area.
Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Flooding impacts will
continue, but no additional rainfall is expected.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Durant, Sulphur, Atoka, Tishomingo, Davis, Coalgate, Wynnewood,
  Dickson, Caddo, Mannsville, Roff, Springer, Bokchito, Ravia,
  Wapanucka, Stringtown, Lehigh, Bennington, Tupelo and Mill Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

* Until 245 AM CDT.

* At 1133 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain tracking along I-20 from Merkel to Abilene and east
  across Calahan County. Up to 3 inches of rain has already fallen,
  with another 1 to 3 inches of rain possible. Flash flooding is
  ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Abilene, Clyde, Baird, Merkel, Tye, Cross Plains, Tuscola, Buffalo
  Gap, Trent, Putnam, Eula, Dudley, Potosi, Hamby, Caps, Dyess Afb,
  Rowden, View, Coronados Camp and Atwell.

Curry Lane from Clack Street to Catclaw Drive, I-20 Frontage Roads
near Baird, Intersections along Buttonwillow Parkway, Butternut
Underpass, Intersections along Sammons Street, Texas Avenue at
Arnold Boulevard, I-20 Frontage Roads west of Clyde, I-20 Frontage
Roads near Putnam, FM 89 crossing Scott Hollow and FM 3308 crossing
